The woman has no apparent purpose, but neither does she need one; we need only recognize those twin facts to realize any coverage of her lessens us more than it lessens her. I'm reminded of this <a href="http://bopl.samharris.us/2007/02/respect-2/" rel="nofollow">earlier post</a> on another young woman who, if she didn't deserve better, at least deserved less. That’s a good write-up on the stupidity of the situation.
