Clinton's win in New Hampshire is a case in point. Turns out her own internal polls showed her 11 points behind but she won because she skews really strangely on poor whites because poor whites don't answer polls and they don't vote for black candidates. Assuming that each candidate can count on his/her base (minus a few on each side who hate the particular candidate) the battle becomes the undecideds, which is natural territory for Obama and McCain, but not for Clinton. (g) It's going to be Clinton and McCain and McCain-Hawk will kick her a** because the war in Iraq is being "managed" in the media here. The "surge" is working, and that's all you hear on the subject in the US media. (Never mind the reason it's working which is that we're paying off the Sunis in large sums of cash, so their insurgency has essentially turned into a state/imperial-sponsored protection racket.) The only thing that will stop McCain from winning is a huge recession, which is actually a bigger possibility than ever. Relax! (g)
