I have a tendency to type ‘ign’ at the end of words instead of ‘ing’.

I’m currently looking at a report with the word ‘Assign’ in it.

I have a tremendous urge to fix my (non-existent) typo.

Until I think about the verb I would be creating.

I picked up OS X 10.4 yesterday – MicroCenter have a $50 rebate, and I had a $25 voucher to use there, so it seemed to be a matter of destiny. The install went fine, and now I’m just starting to settle in. All good so far.

The prison population is swelling fastest in the state of Minnesota – up 13.2% over 12 months.

Now this could be good insofar as it’s locking up people who need to be locked up. But overall it’s hard to think of a way this is really a good thing.

It was interesting to see that the US locks people up more than 5 times as often as the UK, itself no slouch in the incarceration stakes.

Last year it was 107 miles. I wish they’d put the extra 7 miles at the start, because having them at the end was extremely tough. This year they promise it’s down to 101-102. Roughly.

I bought a new mouse last night, a nice wireless one from Microsoft (I know, but I like their hardware, it’s just their software and plans for world domination that I have some problems with). I plugged it into Selma (incorrectly named after Salma Hayek, I should work out how to change that), and less than an hour later she crapped out on me. Because she knew.
